Airbnb reveals its best places to stay and hosts in Australia for 2024

The best of Australia Airbnb hosts and their properties have been revealed for 2024.

Host of the Year was awarded to Tracey and Adrian Queenslandoffering a beautiful private getaway on the Sunshine Coast.

The cozy studio is located in one of Australia’s most popular holiday destinations and visitors are even given free kayaks during their stay to explore the local waterways.

“Our guests call our studio a wonderful private getaway. Upon check-in, we leave a personalized welcome message, along with complimentary chocolate, cookies, and bottled water (as well as the basics),” the hosts shared.

Other award categories included Best Design Stay, Best Nature Stay and this year’s newly created Best Family Friendly Stay.

In recognition of the hosts who go above and beyond to ensure families have a great stay, that award went to Gemma and her vibrant Palm Springs-inspired beach house in Bogangar, New South Wales.

Yo Caba Cabalocated within walking distance of the beach, local cafes and shops, and features open-plan living, a resort-style pool, BBQ area and spacious patio. The house features a master bedroom with an en suite bathroom, two queen bedrooms, and a fun bunk room for kids.

“We converted the garage into a Kid-Mecca, with playful built-in bunk beds and play lounge,” Gemma explains. “[There are] pool toys, as well as a level backyard for outdoor games. The front yard is Palm Springs inspired with a fire pit for roasting marshmallows

The Best Room Stay recognized those hosts who have a unique and amazingly distinctive room stay experience and won the award Room in Lower Plentyin Victoria. 

Host Shiyanti enjoys sharing home-cooked family meals with her guests and even helps organize scenic day trips.

The annual Airbnb Host Awards spotlight hosts for the incredible work they do for guests and the benefits they bring to their broader community.
