The OUR conservative political commentator Candace Owens was denied an entry visa New Zealand for a speaking engagement because she is barred from entering another country, immigration officials said Thursday.

The commentator, who has more than 3 million followers on YouTube, has been accused by her detractors of promoting conspiracy theories and anti-Semitism and has caused a storm with her statements opposing Black Lives Matter, feminism, vaccines and immigration.
In March, Owens said she had parted ways with the Daily Wire, where she has hosted an online talk show since 2021, after clashing with its founders over her remarks about Jews and opposition to US military support for Israel.
She was widely criticized for comments in a YouTube video in July that minimized the Holocaust.
Owens promised Australian and New Zealand audiences a discussion about free speech and her Christian faith when she announced a speaking tour in August.
But Australian officials barred her from the country in October, and Immigration Minister Tony Burke told reporters that Owens “has the ability to foment discord in almost any direction,” citing her statements about the Holocaust and Muslims.
“Australia’s national interest is best served when Candace Owens is elsewhere,” Burke said. Australian Jewish groups called on officials to ban her from the country.

New Zealand officials did not address Owens’ political views in a statement Thursday.
She was refused an entertainer’s work permit in New Zealand on the grounds that visas cannot legally be granted to those excluded from another country, said Jock Gilray, a spokesman for the immigration agency.
Owens and Australian promoter, Rocksman, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
