Several newly elected presidents of the USA Donald Trump Elected officials and cabinet appointees have been the target of bomb threats and “robbery attacks,” Trump’s transition team said this morning.
“Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees and administration appointees were the targets of violent, un-American threats against their lives and those who live with them,” Trump’s transition spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said in a statement.
She said the attacks “ranged from bomb threats to ‘hits.'” In response, police and other authorities acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted. President Trump and the entire transition team are grateful for their swift action.”

Hitting involves generating an immediate police response against a targeted victim under false pretenses.
The FBI said in a statement that it is “aware of numerous bomb threats and incidents of attacks targeting new applicants and employees and that we are working with our law enforcement partners.
“We take all potential threats seriously and as always, encourage citizens to report anything they consider suspicious to the police immediately.”
Among those targeted was New York Representative Elise Stefanik, Trump’s pick to be the next ambassador to the United Nations.

Her office said that on Wednesday morning local time, she, her husband and their 3-year-old son were driving home from Washington for Thanksgiving when they were notified of a bomb threat to their Saratoga County residence.
“New York State Police, New York State Police and the US Capitol Police responded immediately with the highest level of professionalism,” her office said in a statement.
“We are incredibly appreciative of the extraordinary dedication of law enforcement officers who keep our communities safe 24/7.”

Meanwhile, in Florida, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office reads the advice posted on Facebook that he “received notification of a bomb threat regarding the alleged mailbox of former Congressman Matt Gaetz at a home in the Niceville area around 9 o’clock this morning.”
Although a family member lives at the address, they said “former Congressman Gaetz is NOT a resident.
“However, the mailbox was cleared and no devices were found. The immediate area was also searched with negative results.”
Gaetz was Trump’s first choice for attorney general, but withdrew from consideration amid allegations that he paid women for sex and slept with minors.

Gaetz has steadfastly denied any wrongdoing and said last year that a Justice Department investigation into allegations of sex trafficking involving underage girls ended without federal charges against him.
The threats follow a political campaign marked by unusual violence.
In July, a gunman opened fire at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, hitting the then-candidate with a bullet in the ear and killing one of his supporters.
The US Secret Service later thwarted a subsequent assassination attempt at Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida when an agent spotted the barrel of a gun poking through a fence while Trump was playing golf.
