Officials deny Trump’s claims of cheating

“Lots of talk about massive cheating in Philadelphia,” the Republican candidate wrote on his social media platform.

“The police are coming!”

But state officials denied that claim, and the local district attorney challenged Trump to provide some evidence.

“The only talk of massive cheating came from one of the candidates, Donald J. Trump,” said Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner.

“There is no factual basis within law enforcement to support this wild claim.

“All day we’ve been looking for complaints and allegations of impropriety. If Donald J. Trump has any facts to back up his wild allegations, we want them now. Right now. We’re not holding our breath.”

Philadelphia Republican Commissioner Seth Bluestein, the city’s top elected official, also denied Trump’s claims.

“There is absolutely no truth to this claim,” he said.

“It is another example of disinformation.

“The vote in Philadelphia was safe.”

Pennsylvania, with 19 Electoral College votes, is the largest of the seven battleground states expected to decide the election.
