Prosecutors said one person who was accompanying him was charged with abandoning a person after his death and supplying and facilitating drugs.
An employee of the hotel and another person were also accused. No one has been named.
The late singer had alcohol, cocaine and a prescription antidepressant in his body before his death, the Argentine State Criminal and Prison Prosecutor’s Office also announced.
Toxicology results indicated that Payne “may have fallen into a state of semi- or complete unconsciousness,” it said.
The prosecution also said that medical examinations confirmed that the singer’s injuries were “compatible with those caused by a fall from a height.”
The examinations ruled out self-harm or the intervention of other persons, the office adds.
Initial investigations indicate that the musician was alone and suffered a “breakdown” due to the consumption of as yet unspecified substances.

His body remained in Argentina while authorities conducted further toxicology and laboratory tests, but was later released to his family.
