When it comes down to it beat jet lag There are plenty of things travelers can do before and during a flight to help.

“Don’t take a nap, don’t sit down,” she tells us.

As a crew member, Brittany says she is used to short layovers and wants to make the most of her time in a destination.

So there is absolutely no room for jet lag.

”I took my sister to Italy for the first time in July this year, and she hasn’t traveled from Australia. So I said, ‘We’re flying to Rome, we’re doing one night and we’re going to do this style of flight attendant,'” Brittany shares.

“We get to the hotel and she says, ‘Right? So let’s take a nap first?’ Don’t even think about it, girlfriend, just get up, because I think if you sit down you’ll just be wasting your time, right?

“Even if you crash early, at least you’ve lasted as long as possible. Because if you take a nap, you’re playing a dangerous game and you might wake up at three in the morning.”

As for what she does to stay fresh on a long-haul flight, Brittany says it’s all about hydration and good skin care.

”Just drink a lot of water. I bring an empty bottle, and I always ask the crew, and they come over, I just fill my bottle,” she tells us.

“I also like to use a little face mask because I think it breaks up the flight as well. And it’s nice because sometimes you get off the flight and you just don’t want to have a bad taste when you arrive.”

“And a good neck pillow is always necessary.”
