The top places in the order people book are the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Cairns all in Queensland, Coffs Harbor in NSW and the Whitsundays in Queensland

For cities, Sydney and Brisbane topped the list.

And it may be a little late to book now, but for the future, keep in mind that the cheapest day to fly abroad is Friday.

Expedia estimates you can save 11 percent compared to flying on a Saturday.
